Why I am Voting for Steve Brescia by Aidan Rowan

Published

on

I want to state how strongly I support Steve Brescia for State Senate in this year’s election.
I am a lifelong Stony Point resident and a product of the North Rockland School District. I have looked up to politicians like the late Senator Larkin all my life.

I always thought to myself how much I really respected the men and women who serve in elected office. Here in North Rockland we have been represented by Senator James Skoufis for 2 years and I have yet to see him even in the county of Rockland once in his whole term. Steve Brescia comes to North Rockland every opportunity he gets. Steve has been hard at work in Orange County for 30 years working for the people of Montgomery and in the County Legislature. North Rockland would be so lucky to have Steve Brescia represent us in the Senate. In the last 2 years we have seen dangerous β€œBail Reform” laws being championed by our Senator. We have seen a lack of respect for our law enforcement and our first responders. Steve is everything we need in a State Senator. He brings a hard work, give it all you got perspective to public office. It’s time we return to the days when voting for someone wasn’t just because of their party affiliation but because of what they bring to the table for the people they seek to represent.

Steve will be a Senator that when you call him he will answer that call and we will have the peace of mind knowing that Steve will do his best to help us out. North Rockland needs a representative that will actually show up and work across party lines to get things done for the 39th Senate district and our State.

On November 3rd I urge everyone to vote for Steve Brescia for State Senate he won’t go to the bathroom when it’s time to vote on legislation affecting all of us! Thank you! – Aidan Rowan

Clarkstown Councilman Patrick Carroll Announces Candidacy for NYS Assembly District 96

Published

on

NEW CITY, NY – Town of Clarkstown Councilman Patrick Carroll announces his candidacy for New York State Assembly District 96, to replace Assemblyman Ken Zebrowki who recently announced that he wasn’t seeking re-election. Councilman Carroll currently represents Ward 4, which encompasses Bardonia, New City, Nanuet, Spring Valley and West Nyack. He lives in Bardonia with his wife Natalie and their four daughters: Madelyn, Lily, Paige and Hailey. He is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and Wesleyan University, a licensed attorney, and currently works as an Administrative Law Judge for New York State.

β€œAfter speaking with community leaders, I have decided to seek election to the New York State Assembly. Filling my good friend Ken Zebrowski’s shoes will be no easy task, as he has been an outstanding and effective advocate for Rockland families. I hope to build on Ken’s substantial achievements and will work to protect the suburban quality of life that exists in Haverstraw, Nyack and Clarkstown.” said Councilman Carroll.

Since his announcement, Carroll has received key endorsements from democratic leaders from retired Legislator Harriet Cornell and Legislator Beth Davidson.

“When you knock about 3,000 doors alongside someone, you get to know them pretty wellβ€”what they believe in, what they stand for, whom they fight for. While I am so grateful to Ken Zebrowski for his 17 years of admirable and effective service as our Assemblyman, I am thrilled to endorse my friend Clarkstown Councilman Patrick J. Carroll for AD-96. I stand ready to knock another 2-3,000 doors to secure your election, Patβ€”and I know no one will work harder to help Dems up and down the ticket in November!” said Legislator Beth Davidson.
