South Nyack Man Indicted for Franklin Street Murder in Nyack

NYACK, NY – Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced the indictment by a grand jury of Wendy Jean, age 26 (11/12/1994) of South Nyack, NY on one count of Murder in the Second Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

On November 22, 2020 at approximately 7:05 pm, in the area of Main Street and Franklin Street in the Village of Nyack, Gregory Dubuisson, age 35 of Nyack NY was shot twice. Dubuisson was transported to Nyack Hospital and passed away from his injuries a short time later.

Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh said, “As the indictment alleges, this senseless act of violence resulted in the tragic death of Gregory Dubuisson and put countless other residents’ lives in danger with his actions on November 22, 2020. My office will continue to work with our local police departments and state partners to get guns off the streets and the violence it creates. ”

 

 

 

“I commend the Orangetown Police Department for apprehending the suspect, as well as the South Nyack-Grand View Police Department, Piermont Police Department, Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and the Clarkstown Police Department, whose hard work resulted in this arrest. Senseless acts of violence will never be tolerated in Rockland County. I’m extremely confident that Executive Assistant District Attorney Kathleen Devlin and First Assistant District Attorney Dominic Crispino will represent our victim with all their experience and professionalism to ensure justice is served.”

 

 

 

Murder in the Second Degree is a Class A-I Felony and carries a minimum penalty of 15 years to life and a maximum of 25 years to life; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree is a Class C Felony.

Ramapo Police Department Respond To An Assault With A Knife

On Thursday April 11, 2024, at approximately 8:27pm, the Ramapo Police Department responded to Trailside Place in the Town of Ramapo for the report of an assault with a knife. Upon the officers arrival, it was discovered that the victim had been accosted in his driveway by an unknown suspect. The victim was stabbed multiple times and removed from the scene to the hospital. Patrol officers located a possible suspect, and he was detained and brought to the Ramapo Police Department for questioning. The individual was cooperative and released from custody pending further investigation.
The victim is currently in stable condition and expected to survive. The Ramapo Police Department was assisted on scene by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, the Clarkstown Police Department, Hatzolah Ambulance Corps, and Chaverim of Rockland.

All information will be kept confidential and can be made anonymously. Information can also be provided through the TIPS 411 platform. The Ramapo Police Department has increased patrol presence throughout the Town.

Clarkstown Police Units Were Dispatched To Affinity Federal Credit Union For Alleged Fraud

Clarkstown Police units were dispatched to 35 Bardonia Rd. (Affinity Federal Credit Union) for an alleged fraud. The two suspects exited the bank and attempted to flee, as officers arrived one of the suspects was apprehended. The second suspect, a female wearing a hat with COLORADO on it, had left the scene. Several CPD officers had arrived on scene and began searching the area for her. During this time Bardonia Elementary was advised of the search for the suspect and they out of an abundance of caution immediately went into a Lockout. The lockout has been lifted, without further incident. The female suspect has not been located at this time.
