Yesterday, Ramapo Police Department and the Village of Spring Valley Police Departments effected a search warrant on Twin Avenue in the Village of Spring Valley.

The search warrant was obtained as a result of a joint investigation between the two Police Departments into commercial burglaries in the area.

During the search warrant evidence from previous burglaries was recovered, as well as approximately a pound of Marijuana and 6.5 grams of cocaine.

The Spring Valley-Ramapo investigation was furthered by the assistance of the Rockland County Intel Unit, Chaverim of Rockland County and the Rockland County Drug Task Force. The investigation culminated yesterday with the following arrests.

Defendant 1 was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree.

Defendant 2 was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th degree.

Defendant 3 was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Possession of Burglar’s Tools by the Town of Ramapo Police Department.

He was arraigned last night and was remanded to the County Jail. He is still facing multiple imminent Spring Valley Police Department charges for Burglaries, Larcenies and Criminal Mischief in relation to at least 6 commercial burglaries in the Village.

Ramapo Police Department Respond To An Assault With A Knife

On Thursday April 11, 2024, at approximately 8:27pm, the Ramapo Police Department responded to Trailside Place in the Town of Ramapo for the report of an assault with a knife. Upon the officers arrival, it was discovered that the victim had been accosted in his driveway by an unknown suspect. The victim was stabbed multiple times and removed from the scene to the hospital. Patrol officers located a possible suspect, and he was detained and brought to the Ramapo Police Department for questioning. The individual was cooperative and released from custody pending further investigation.
The victim is currently in stable condition and expected to survive. The Ramapo Police Department was assisted on scene by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, the Clarkstown Police Department, Hatzolah Ambulance Corps, and Chaverim of Rockland.

The Ramapo Police Department has increased patrol presence throughout the Town.

Clarkstown Police Units Were Dispatched To Affinity Federal Credit Union For Alleged Fraud

Clarkstown Police units were dispatched to 35 Bardonia Rd. (Affinity Federal Credit Union) for an alleged fraud. The two suspects exited the bank and attempted to flee, as officers arrived one of the suspects was apprehended. The second suspect, a female wearing a hat with COLORADO on it, had left the scene. Several CPD officers had arrived on scene and began searching the area for her. During this time Bardonia Elementary was advised of the search for the suspect and they out of an abundance of caution immediately went into a Lockout. The lockout has been lifted, without further incident. The female suspect has not been located at this time.
