THIELLS, NY – The North Rockland High School Girls Soccer team upsets the #1 team in New York state – St. Anthony’s from Long Island 1 – 0 on Saturday.

Kelly Brady scored in the first half with the assist from Jenna MacMillan. Allison Spong was stellar for the Red Raiders in goal.

According to New York State Sportswriters Association, going into Saturday’s game North Rockland was ranked 9th in New York state and 247th nationally by MaxPreps.com.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – The top-seeded Albertus Magnus Falcons defeated second-seeded Ursuline high school to take the Section 1 Class AA title, 57-50, on Saturday night.

Albertus Magnus’ Allie Falesto was named MVP of the Section 1 Class AA tournament and had a game high 20 points in the championship game.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – Suffern HS Senior Captain Charlie Windwer, one of the best high school players in New York, scored two goals to lead the Mounties to a 4 – 0 victory over Clarkstown (combination of North & South HS) 4 – 0.
