AOC Challenger John Cummings in Rockland Supporting Maureen McArdle Schulman for Congress

POMONA, NY – John Cummings, a former NYC teacher and NYPD Officer, is challenging Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York’s 14th Congressional District was in Rockland County on Thursday supporting Maureen McArdle Schulman.

Schulman, is a former FDNY firefighter who lives in Westchester County. She is running for Congress in New York’s 17th Congressional District versus Rockland native and Harvard grad Mondaire Jones. Maureen has attended both “Back the Blue” Rally in Pearl River and “Support Law Enforcement” Rally in Suffern.

 

 

In attendance at the fundraiser were Rockland County Executive Ed Day, Town of Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, Bill Weber – Candidate for NYS Senate, former Pomona Mayor Brett Yagel, Legislator Vince Tyer, Mayor and Chairman of the Orange County Legislature Steve Brescia (Candidate for NYS Senate 39), and Stony Point Superintendents of Highways Larry Brissing.

NYS Association of Police Benevolent Associations Endorses Mike Lawler in State Assembly Race

PEARL RIVER, NY – The New York State Association of Police Benevolent Associations, a statewide organization that represents thousands of police benevolent associations, has announced the endorsement of Mike Lawler in his race for the 97th Assembly District today.

Lawler, who is running on a pro-law enforcement platform, spoke about the importance of the New York State Association of Police Benevolent Associations’ endorsement.

“I’m deeply honored to have the backing of the New York State Association of Police Benevolent Associations,” said Lawler. “Their members put their lives on the line each and every day to keep our communities safe and they deserve a strong voice and ally in Albany. I will be there for them and will never apologize for backing the blue.”

The New York State Association of Police Benevolent Associations represents thousands of PBAs from across New York State.

“The NYS Association of PBAs is thrilled to back you in this endeavor, and looks forward to working with you on issues of public safety in the future.” said Michael O’Meara, President of the New York State Association of Police Benevolent Associations. “Your commitment to protecting public safety is deeply appreciated and you have shown a strong drive to work with law enforcement officers from all across the great state of New York to make our state a safer place to raise a family.”

 

In June, O’Meara would garner national attention after delivering remarks criticizing the media and elected officials for vilifying police officers after protests in New York City.
