An Open Letter to the Voters of the 38th Senate District, from Bill Weber, Candidate for Senate

Dear Neighbor,

My name is Bill Weber and I’m running to be our next New York State Senator.

Many of you know me through my years of activism working to make Ramapo a better place, or as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Rockland and the Rockland County Youth Bureau, or perhaps as a Cubmaster to my kids’ Cub Scout Troop. For those who may not, public service and community involvement have been important to me throughout my entire life.

For the foreseeable future, our state will be faced with the daunting task of rebuilding our economy, all while being faced with billions of dollars of debt and revenue shortfalls. My experience and skills are uniquely suited for this job and if elected, I would be the only Certified Public Accountant serving in the state legislature. As billions get spent and there are talks of bailouts and federal aid being procured and distributed, my experience as a finance professional and forensic auditor will be essential to ensure our tax dollars are being spent correctly and that our district is receiving it’s fair share.

Some other issues that will be a priority for me:

❱ Ensure Federal Recovery Funds Reach Local Governments and Businesses.
❱ End Dangerous Bail Reform: Put families first!
❱ Promote Responsible Development and Reduce Traffic Congestion: Ensure adequate infrastructure is in place before approving new projects.
❱ Fight For Lower Taxes: End costly unfunded mandates and focus on a fair and equitable tax system.
❱ Improve Our Schools: Reduce unfunded mandates, revise accountability measures, and fight for our fair share of state aid for our schools.

In a typical campaign season, my team and I would be knocking on your door to shake hands and get your thoughts on what you’d like to see change in Albany. But there’s nothing typical about what’s going on right now in our world, so we must change our campaign methods – and we have.

I ask you to take a moment to please visit our website www.WeberforSenate38.com or send me an email at [email protected]. You can also find us on Facebook.

Please remain safe and healthy. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and our campaign.
Sincerely,
Bill Weber
Candidate for New York State Senate, 38th District

Clarkstown Councilman Patrick Carroll Announces Candidacy for NYS Assembly District 96

Published

on

NEW CITY, NY – Town of Clarkstown Councilman Patrick Carroll announces his candidacy for New York State Assembly District 96, to replace Assemblyman Ken Zebrowki who recently announced that he wasn’t seeking re-election. Councilman Carroll currently represents Ward 4, which encompasses Bardonia, New City, Nanuet, Spring Valley and West Nyack. He lives in Bardonia with his wife Natalie and their four daughters: Madelyn, Lily, Paige and Hailey. He is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and Wesleyan University, a licensed attorney, and currently works as an Administrative Law Judge for New York State.

“After speaking with community leaders, I have decided to seek election to the New York State Assembly. Filling my good friend Ken Zebrowski’s shoes will be no easy task, as he has been an outstanding and effective advocate for Rockland families. I hope to build on Ken’s substantial achievements and will work to protect the suburban quality of life that exists in Haverstraw, Nyack and Clarkstown.” said Councilman Carroll.

Since his announcement, Carroll has received key endorsements from democratic leaders from retired Legislator Harriet Cornell and Legislator Beth Davidson.

“When you knock about 3,000 doors alongside someone, you get to know them pretty well—what they believe in, what they stand for, whom they fight for. While I am so grateful to Ken Zebrowski for his 17 years of admirable and effective service as our Assemblyman, I am thrilled to endorse my friend Clarkstown Councilman Patrick J. Carroll for AD-96. I stand ready to knock another 2-3,000 doors to secure your election, Pat—and I know no one will work harder to help Dems up and down the ticket in November!” said Legislator Beth Davidson.
